Getting Started with Unichat

Unichat is an app that lets you centralize all your messages in one clean interface, without distractions.

You can read and reply to messages from different platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, and more, without having to switch apps.

Unichat helps you save time and focus on what matters: your messages.

  1. Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android)
  2. Search for "Unichat"
  3. Tap Install
  4. Open the app once installation is complete

Make sure you have a stable internet connection during the download.

On iPhone:

  1. Press and hold the Unichat icon
  2. Tap Remove App
  3. Confirm the deletion

On Android:

  1. Press and hold the Unichat icon
  2. Tap Uninstall
  3. Confirm

Uninstalling does not automatically delete your account.

Unichat is currently available on:

  • iPhone (iOS)
  • Android smartphones

Web and desktop versions (Windows and macOS) are coming soon.

  • Open Unichat
  • Tap "Continue with email"
  • Enter your email
  • Create your account by filling in the required information: email, password, and username
  • Accept the terms of service and privacy policy, then confirm your registration
  1. Open Unichat
  2. Tap "Continue with email"
  3. Enter your email
  4. Enter your password
  5. Confirm the login

If you forgot your password, use the Forgot password option.

  1. Open your profile in the app
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Tap Log out
  4. Confirm the logout

You will need to log back in to access your messages.

  1. Open your profile in the app
  2. Tap your profile card at the top of the screen
  3. Edit your name, photo, email, or phone number
  4. Save the changes

This information may be visible to your contacts depending on the connected platforms.

Connecting Your Other Messaging Apps

Unichat supports the following messaging apps: WhatsApp, Telegram, and Instagram. The list of compatible platforms will grow to include all major messaging apps. You can view the full list directly in the app.

  1. Open Unichat
  2. Go to Connect
  3. Tap the messaging app you want to connect
  4. Follow the instructions to sign in
  5. Once connected, your messages will appear automatically in Unichat

You can also filter by messaging app if you wish.

  1. Open Unichat
  2. Go to Connect
  3. Tap the messaging app you want to disconnect
  4. Confirm the disconnection

App Features

  1. Open the conversation where you want to send a message
  2. Type your text in the input field at the bottom of the screen
  3. Tap Send
  • Open the conversation containing the message
  • Read the message
  • To reply, type your text in the input field and tap Send
  1. Press and hold the message
  2. Choose the desired action: Forward, Copy, or Delete
  3. Confirm the action if required
  1. Press and hold the message
  2. Choose a quick reaction or tap "+" to see all available reactions
  3. Select the emoji you want to use
  1. Press and hold the target message
  2. Tap Translate or AI Summary
  3. The result is displayed in the app language

These features are reserved for premium members. The message summary only appears for messages containing at least 500 characters.

  1. Open the conversation
  2. Tap the Gallery icon
  3. Grant access if not already done
  4. Select the file(s) from your gallery
  5. Tap Send

Unichat does not exploit your files or personal data.

  1. Go to Profile > Notifications
  2. Enable or disable notifications
  3. Changes are applied immediately
  1. Open Unichat
  2. Tap Search at the bottom of the screen
  3. Type a keyword or a contact name
  4. Matching messages appear instantly
  1. Go to Profile > Preferences > Appearance > Theme
  2. Choose Light, Dark, or Follow system theme
  3. The change is applied immediately
  1. Go to Profile > Preferences > Language
  2. Select the desired language
  3. The change is applied immediately
  1. Go to Profile > Preferences > Incognito mode
  2. Enable the mode to hide certain information and notifications
  3. Incognito mode protects your privacy while using the app

Some incognito mode features are reserved for premium members.

Backing Up and Restoring Your Chats

  1. Go to Profile > Privacy > Back up my messages
  2. Tap "Generate my backup key"
  3. Store this key in a safe place
  4. Wait for confirmation that the backup is complete

Backed-up messages are secured and only accessible from your account.

  1. Go to Profile > Privacy > Restore my messages
  2. Enter the key generated during your last backup (the one you stored in a safe place)
  3. Tap "Restore my messages"
  4. Wait while your messages are being recovered

Restoration may take a few minutes depending on the size of your chats.

  1. On your old device, go to Profile > Privacy > Back up my messages
  2. Tap "Generate my backup key" and store this key in a safe place
  3. Wait for confirmation that the backup is complete
  4. Install Unichat on your new device
  5. Sign in with the same account
  6. Go to Profile > Privacy > Restore my messages
  7. Enter the backup key you stored
  8. Tap "Restore my messages" and wait while your messages are being recovered

Restoration may take a few minutes depending on the size of your chats.

Make sure the backup is complete and your key is safely stored so you don't lose anything.

Security and Privacy

All messages exchanged via Unichat are protected by end-to-end encryption. Unichat acts as a technical carrier: we cannot read, listen to, or intercept your conversations.

No. Unichat does not sell any personal data. Certain information required for operation (such as your identifier or message status) is stored securely to ensure synchronization across your devices.

Unichat only accesses the data necessary to run the app correctly.

This includes:

  • Your account information (email, username, and phone number if provided)
  • The messaging apps you connect
  • Technical data required for synchronization (message status, connections, metadata, anonymous error logs, etc.)

All messages exchanged via Unichat are protected by end-to-end encryption. Unichat acts as a technical carrier: we cannot read, listen to, or intercept your conversations.

Unichat strictly limits access to your data to guarantee your experience while respecting your privacy.

Your data is never sold or used for commercial purposes with third parties.

Processing is done securely:

  • Data processed: only the messages or threads you explicitly select and submit to the AI are transmitted for analysis.
  • Ephemeral nature: content is temporarily decrypted in RAM solely for AI analysis.
  • Explicit consent: the AI service (Mistral AI) is activated only when you choose to use it.
  • No-training guarantee: Unichat has signed Data Processing Agreements (DPA) ensuring your content is never permanently stored and never used to train third-party language models.

AI is designed to improve your reading and comprehension experience while strictly respecting your privacy.

  1. Go to Profile > Privacy
  2. Tap "Delete my account"
  3. Confirm the deletion of your account

This action is irreversible. All your conversations and data will be permanently deleted.

Users are prohibited from using the Service to:

  1. Send spam, unsolicited messages, or harassing content.
  2. Distribute illegal content (terrorism glorification, child pornography, hate speech, etc.).
  3. Attempt to reverse engineer the app.
  4. Use the Service for mass or illegal surveillance.

Penalty: In case of violation, Unichat reserves the right to suspend or delete the account without notice, and to report the facts to the competent authorities (in accordance with the Digital Services Act — DSA).

Payments and Subscriptions

  1. Go to Profile > Donate to Unichat
  2. Select the frequency of your donation
  3. Choose an amount
  4. Tap "I support Unichat"

The Unichat team thanks you!

Unichat subscriptions are managed directly by the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android):

  1. Open Unichat
  2. Go to Profile > Subscription
  3. Choose the plan that suits you and confirm payment via the store

Unichat does not store or process your payment information.

  1. Open the App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Go to the Subscriptions section of your account
  3. Select Unichat
  4. Modify or cancel your subscription as needed

Any changes or cancellations are made directly via the store, not from within the app.

  • All invoices and receipts are available in your App Store or Google Play account
  • You can view and download them directly from your store

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.

To request a refund:

  1. Open your account on the App Store or Google Play
  2. Select the Unichat transaction
  3. Click Request a refund and follow the instructions
  • Unichat collects no sensitive payment information
  • The only data processed is: your account identifier and subscription type, required to activate premium features

Technical Issues

  • Check your internet connection
  • Open Unichat and reconnect the app via Connect > [App name]
  • If the issue persists, fully disconnect and reconnect your messaging account

  • Check that the messaging app is not restricted by permissions or a VPN
  • Restart Unichat and try connecting the app again
